It doesn't seem too long ago that we were wishing everyone a Happy New Year and it's now almost the end of January. Although the weather is best described at 'mixed' there are unmistakable signs of Spring with the snowdrops out and the Witch Hazel in full bloom. It's cosy in the Cottage so even if the weather doesn't oblige, our visitors can still have an enjoyable and comfortable holiday.

Seen Michael Portillo on BBC2 recently? (Great British Railway Journeys). If so, you will have seen what fascinating and varied attractions there are in the immediate vicinity.

It's a good time to be looking forward to your next holiday and what better place than to have it here at Forest Field cottage in the Lake District National Park. Book early whilst there is some choice of dates!

This season is the ninth full season since the opening of the cottage. During previous seasons we have been delighted to welcome a number people on their second, third and fourth time back with us.

We've enjoyed being able to welcome visitors from across the UK and from overseas and, judging by the many kind comments left in the visitors' book, all have had a great time.
