Booking, Conditions and Availability

We try to keep the conditions to a minimum and make the process of booking easy for you. Just contact us if you have a query.

The Cottage is for two adults. We regret that it is not suitable for children or pets.

Weekly Bookings are from Friday to Friday.

The Cottage will be available from 4pm on the day of arrival to 10am on the day of departure. Visitors are asked to vacate the cottage promptly on the day of departure. (We reserve the right to charge an additional rental fee for late departures).

We try to be flexible and may sometimes be able to arrange alternatives such as Saturday starts out of season. Part weeks may also be available out of season (Min 3 nights stay). Please enquire by phone or email or click here to view our calendar.

How to make a booking.

Please e-mail or 'phone to make a provisional booking. We will hold the accommodation for 7 days after that, pending receipt of a non refundable deposit of 25%. The balance of the cost will be due 6 weeks prior to the start of your holiday.

Holidays booked less than 6 weeks prior to the start of the holiday should be paid in full on booking.

Payments may be made by Cheque (payable to 'Mrs M Postle' posted to Forest Field, Colton, Ulverston, Cumbria LA12 8HF or by card payment.

Card payments: We accept credit or debit card payments made through our PayPal account. If you want to pay in this way, please give your e-mail address. We will then send you an e-mail invoice with a link to PayPal and easy to follow instructions. Please note that there is a 2.5% processing charge for card transactions.

Damage

We don't ask for a deposit to cover breakages or damage which goes beyond normal wear & tear - as our visitors treat the cottage as they would their own home.

We do reserve the right to recover the costs putting right damage or for cleaning if the cottage is left in an excessively dirty condition.

Cancellation

Deposits are not refundable. If cancellation is within six weeks of the rental starting and we can not re-let the cottage, then you will be liable for full rental cost. (You may wish to consider insuring against cancellation).
