Accommodation

The cottage is designed as a luxury haven for two. (We regret that it is not suitable for children or pets).

A gate from a quiet country lane leads onto an enclosed terrace which has an outdoor table and chairs: a real sun trap in the mornings especially!

From the terrace, the front door leads to the sitting room which is well appointed with easy chairs, dining area, television, DVD player, radio and a book case full of maps, useful information and reading material. The cottage is centrally heated throughout but for those really cold winter days, there is booster heating from an electric stove heater. There are lovely views over the garden and the Lakeland countryside beyond.

Enclosed from the sitting room by two double doors is a well equipped kitchen area with double ceramic hob, microwave, grill and oven & grilling machine. A fridge with freezer compartment, Iron, Ironing Board & Cleaning Utensils are separately enclosed. A separate Laundry Room reached from the Terrace, houses a Washing machine, Tumble dryer and Freezer

The Bedroom is reached from the sitting room through glazed double doors. The beds can be arranged to give a super king size double or a twin. There is ample wardrobe, dressing table and cupboard space. The luxury bathroom is light and airy with Velux window (lie in the bath and star gaze!). It has a large bath, a separate power shower, toilet, a wash basin within a vanity unit & heated towel rail.

There is a private car park and nearly an acre of Lakeland garden to explore & relax in – with seating, summer house (great for picnics!) and wild life pond.

Free WiFi, together with all towels, bed linen, heating and lighting are provided (No hidden extras).

Awaiting your arrival: a welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk, biscuits or cake, a loaf of freshly baked bread from our local bakery and a pack of toiletries.

We try to keep our carbon footprint to a minimum using low energy lighting where possible and green electricity both from our own solar panel generation and from a green energy supplier.
