4* Quality in Tourism rated self catering, just for two in the unspoilt Rusland Valley.

Mary and Mike Postle offer you a friendly welcome to this recently built cottage specially designed just for two people and adjacent to their Victorian school master's house. Here you can enjoy luxury self-contained accommodation in the unspoilt, peaceful Lakeland countryside of the little known Rusland Valley.

Set in the rolling hills and unspoilt countryside in the south of the English Lake District National Park, Forest Field makes an ideal venue from which to explore what the area has to offer.

You can walk for miles along ancient tracks and footpaths, take a leisurely drive through quiet lanes or, if you prefer to do nothing, why not relax in the half an acre of wild garden and take a picnic down to the summer house overlooking the pond?

Well known Lakeland visitor attractions are not far away with the Grizedale Forest, Hawkshead, Lake Coniston and Lake Windermere all within a quarter of an hour away by car. The cottage is ideally located for exploring places so familiar to Beatrix Potter and featured in the recent film Miss Potter.

The pretty market town of Ulverston on the Furness peninsular is only 6 miles away and well worth a visit. The Northern Lakes with Keswick as their centre are an hour away. Further afield, the Yorkshire Dales are within easy reach.

There are many good quality local venues for eating out - including our 'local'- just a mile across fields - for those wanting to walk. Details of these and other attractions can be found in the information folder provided in the accommodation: everything to make your holiday special and memorable.
